Vision
The Sathya Sai School – Kisaju is a non-denominational primary school based on universal values that are the core values of all faiths and cultures. The goal of the school is to incorporate the five basic human values of Love, Peace, Truth, Right Conduct and Non-Violence into the core curriculum requirement of the Ministry of Education – Kenya. Through this value based education, Sathya Sai School – Kisaju aims to assist generations of students acquire Self-knowledge and Self-confidence, so as to cultivate Self-sacrifice and earn Self-realisation; thereby enabling character development in students and moulding them into leaders who will benefit society.
Mission
The mission of Sathya Sai School – Kisaju is to realize the vision of Sri Sathya Sai Baba by providing a value based education through Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s educational program – SSEHV (Sathya Sai Education in Human Values). Sathya Sai School – Kisaju caters to primarily marginalized and destitute children while also educating local day schoolers.
Values and Integration into the Curriculum
The SSEHV program is based on universal ethical values that are common to all cultures and creeds. SSEHV is based on the five prime values – Love, Truth, Peace, Right Conduct and Non Violence and is taught through sub-values such as caring, sharing, honesty, helpfulness, justice, fairness, self esteem, responsibility, reliability, democracy etc. These values are integrated in to the curriculum to develop a school culture based on these values. By focussing on this value based education, students will acquire a moral character based on the understanding and awareness of their humanness.
