The value based education through SSEHV being provided at Sathya Sai School – Kisaju has had a profound impact within the school, in the neighborhood and far beyond.
The teachers at Sathya Sai School – Kisaju travel every Sunday to Nairobi to conduct EHV lessons at Sri Sathya Sai Centre – Kenya for the benefit of the children who come for Narayan Seva every Sunday.
Every year the students go out to local community villages and serve the needy as Grama Seva. Some photos from the Grama Seva carried out on Oct 20, 2013 at the Bethsaida Home for Aged Ladies in Kitengela, Kenya are displayed below.
Sathya Sai School – Kisaju places focus on educating destitute and marginalized children. As a result many needy children from the nearby slum areas of Kibera, Kawangware, and Kangemi have received education, room, and board free of cost.
The new multipurpose auditorium at the school is now a favourite among locals to hold weddings, graduations and networking functions. This is enhancing the local community spirit.
The school also allows cattle grazing on the school lawns as well as provides water to the pastoral community in the area. Throughout the year, the children as well as visitors and well-wishers participate in planting and nurturing trees that provide shade and fruit. The borehole on the premises enables adequate watering of the trees and crops grown on the farm.
Alumni of the school have gained entry to many prestigious high schools and universities and regularly return to partake in the Teacher’s Day and Founder’s Day events annually.
