Om Sri Sai Ram,

Trust all is all well by beloved Baba’s grace.

20th Oct 2016 was  truly a blissful day for Sathya Sai School – Kisaju , for commemorating beloved Baba’s Avatar Declaration Day coinciding  with ‘Feed the Planet Day’.

Sathya Sai School Kisaju was privileged to serve over 150 elderly and needy senior citizens (aged between 65 – 93 years) from the local area of Kisaju and Isinya (Kajiado County, Kenya).

The occasion that was themed “LOVE ALL SERVE ALL”. Narayanas were transported from various villages surrounding Kisaju and Isinya  environs  to Kisaju School.

A panel of teachers visited the local area to identify the recipients and invited them to the school on the morning of 20th October. On arrival at around 10 AM, the Narayanas were welcomed by the Students, Trustees, Directors, and staff.

A register was prepared whereby each Narayan was allocated to a student. Narayanas details i.e. Name, age, village address, and contacts were taken for future use. They were then led to the dining halls, whereby they were served with mid-morning tea and pastries.

Students led the function with prayers and value based choruses in the Auditorium from 12 noon and the Deputy School  Principal  welcomed the attendees and the Narayanas for sacrificing their time to attend.

He emphasized the importance of selfless service, as taught by the Founder of the school, beloved Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He emphasized on his compassion and love that gave birth to Sathya Sai Schools and many other schools around the world, Plus the need to reach out to the less fortunate through selfless service.

Attendees were enlightened that the school runs on the five pillars of Love, Peace, Truth, Right conduct and Non-violence. He said that the school was a non-denominational school that believes in only one religion – the religion of love.

Students  entertained the guests and the Narayanas with the value based quotations, ‘Mshairi’ (poems), skits and shared their experiences.

The occasion was also graced by the area Chief Mr. Semekur who addressed the attendees in their vernacular language explaining the meaning of Avatar Day and Serve the Planet. He elaborated further that the Schools founder Sathya Sai Baba teaches us to  understand the inherent divinity in all human beings including everything in God’s Creation. He urged all to realise that love is the only way to God and that work is worship.

He thanked the Narayanas, for their efforts to travel long distances to witness this exemplary school and to meet the students, along with appreciation to all well-wishers.

The climax of the occasion was marked by the presentation of hampers to the  Narayanas containing Packaged Rice, Sugar, Assorted Lentils, Maize meal flour, Salt etc.

As each student was allocated a Narayana each, they will henceforth  be encouraged to regularly contact/visit  the elder and nurture a loving bond by inculcating the attribute of selfless service and live up to the school motto “Love All Serve All”

Lastly, some deserving Narayanas who had difficulty in walking were presented with wheelchairs.

After enjoying the function, all the Narayanas  were ferried back to their village homes. Divine love showered by Beloved Swami on all engaged in “His” Seva was felt immeasurably and School’s fraternity thanks beloved Baba for granting this opportunity.
